These are all i think definate possibilities on the “whats going to be participating at Legends ?”
Curtiss Hawk 75, Reading from another web-site everything installed and wings in place.
P-39Q Airacobra Last i heard it was all finished and getting its scheme applied.
Spitfire ML417 ex tfc could be on its way over for the show.
P-51c slight possibility very close to flying.

If we can have one show a year please like the present Legends with just wall to wall piston engines and the bigger the better I will travel anywhere for it. What we saw at the weekend was totally superb and I speak as one whose display going extends back to 1945 and whose career in airshow flying goes back to 1958. We are so lucky in the UK to have a venue like Duxford with its magic combination of public and private, full time and volunteer, ancient and modern – bliss…………….!!!

Albert, I think you are talking about Legends predessor Classic Fighter, the T33 was a regular in the Korean war section!
Duxfordhawk, the first Flying Legends was a 1-day show on May Bank Holiday Monday
1993 with Classic Fighter in the July, in 1994 Flying Legends replaced Classic Fighter and became a 2-day show.

Was that Leg Ends or Classic Fighters??? One show evolved out of the other and the theme changed a little.
Legends started 1994 i am sure of it.

Guess you weren’t at Legends in 1993 then Robbo, when Mark Hanna gave a superb display in the OFMC T-33A, N33VC. I think the Golden Apple Sabre was flown at Legends one year also. These are Legends also, just like the Super Connie.

Rob, there are other shows in the season where such a mix can be seen and I really enjoy those shows. However, Legends has a clear theme that doesn’t include jets and I like it that way – it’s only for one show in the year.
