It’s nearly on us, so it must be time to ramble on about it.

Positive AND negative.

Cheer and whinge.

Go for it – all those who haven’t noticed there is life outside the forums!

Flying Legends 2012 -update 2nd August

Due to the protracted discussions being held with the Civil Aviation Authority regarding Olympic Airspace Restrictions please note that we are unable at this time to confirm the 2012 Flying Legends date.

We will provide updated information on progress for you on a weekly basis.

We would appreciate that you do not call The Fighter Collection about the 2012 dates!

We will update information for you as soon as we can through our usual internet sites.

We thank you for your understanding on this.

As the show is so close i can reveal the secret.

The whole connie edwards fleet that has been in storage since the end of filming “the battle of britain” has been shipped to a secret location in the UK for assembly and debut.

The location is a ” shed in the garden ”

The chief engineer is a certain cartoon dog “Roobarb”

Once delivery of his grey one piece overalls, spurs and cowboy hats has taken place test flying will commence by Mr Roobarb and his chief Pilot known only as “Custard”

The stunning dogfight routine the two carry out is not to be missed.

Formation cancelled?

Apparently the Doug Arnold SE5E and P40N duo have pulled out:eek:

Some thieving cad has nicked the runway at Grenham Common and the P40N has been put into a double glazed glass case (UPVC of course)…:D

Perhaps I’m being a dunce and missing something (not for the first time!), but there doesn’t appear to be a list of participants posted up anywhere. Is there one out there that I’ve missed, or is one yet to be published?

If the rumors are true that would be great. If the TFC’s other T.20 was to be there that would be great if it would be joined by:TFC’s T.20,Fury ISS,T.20 RNHF and the recently restored on that was at La ferte alais this year.

They arent; see above.

Roobarb,

You are a very naughty man.

Buts its all harmless fun. As has been said so many times before, the list of attendees is on the TFC website. Anything else you hear, from whatever source is wrong.

Rumours made public, then denied then proved groundless, then a new rumour…why the h*** don’t we wait, keep checking the TFC, until we all know what will be there and what will not??:diablo: After all it’s not long now!:D

wot he sed!!

Always worked for me in the past. There’s usually an ‘official’ list on the IWM site a week to 10 days before as well.

Cheers (and looking forward to another classic legends)

My sincere apologies to all who got a slight heart attack…

It was not my intention to spread false rumours, but i know how delicate the P-38 story is… I hope it’s just a case of mistaken identity…

(guess i’ll need to have some extra money for some pints :o, to certain people…)

Cheers,

Will the Lavochkin LA-11 be making an appearence doing the joker spot? I heard from someone in the cafe that she had heard from a mate cutting the grass that it was being secretly restored at Fowlmere and that it would be substituting for that drop-out Horsefellow bloke Klinton and was going to fly in unannounced at dawn and take the thunder away from the Doug Arnold SE5E and P40N formation that are coming in from Greenham Common on the Saturday? I also heard that there IS going to be a B25 this year. “Bedsheet Bomber” is coming in with the other TFC T.20 Sea Fury VZ345 from secret restoration at Macrihannish…

I couldn’t find it either.

Guess we’re not the best in navigating it.
