Legends Weather…

I love Duxford as a venue, especially with BSG junior in tow, lots of shade and shelter as needed (cool hangers to look around if its hot etc) – met office WWW says as below….. ummmmmm not really exact is it, but will take the waterproofs rather than the factor 50 I think…..

Friday and Saturday will be unsettled with some sunshine, but also showers or longer outbreaks of rain. The heaviest of the rain or showers probably over England and Wales, with mainly dry weather across the north of Scotland. More unsettled and showery weather is expected for Sunday and for the start of next week, with again the risk of some heavy and prolonged showers in the south on Sunday. Conditions should start to improve towards the mid week with the showers becoming fewer and lighter. Temperatures will generally be near or a little below average although it should become warm in the southeast later. There are indications that high pressure could build through the second half of next week, giving the promise of more settled and warmer conditions.

Had a look at some long range charts on the ECMWF site and it’s looking reasonable (although these charts can & do change quite radically). LAter in the week we should have a better idea…

I did a thread like this last year and it was the same then.

The BBS guys and stuff shows showers, clouds, rain..whatever.

Other sites have reported sunshine and clouds..

Its all speculation. Wait until Friday or something. Its ****ty weather now so with some luck it wont be ****ty next weekend

The sun WILL be shining all day on both Saturday AND Sunday though it MAY be obscured by cloud for some, or even all of that time.;)

As with anywhere else in the UK pack for sun but prepare for rain.

A few years ago the Met office still said it would be hot and sunny for legends but i still spent most of the day under an umbrella.

I always check the BBC (5-day) and weather.co.uk (10 day) – not an exact science, though, and they rarely get things exactly right so far in advance. Normally just go anyway and take a chance!
