With the Victory show taking place in Cosby, Leics this weekend, some of the participating aircraft were basing at Leicester. Today was also the day of the aero club open day where local residents are invited to visit and recieve a free local flight.

Here are a few pics of the day, first of all the victory show participants

Sorry Trinny, didn’t get any of you leaving. I now feel I’ve lost my hero status. 🙁 😀

Pity you didn’t get a shot of our departing fly-by, or did you?

Nice to see G-RUNT, built by a good friend of mine, now retired, at Southend. Nice new colour scheme too 🙂

Brilliant photos, Neal.
I didn’t get to fly at all that day, too busy “upstairs”, but club members flew about 160 local residents.

My special thanks to Trinny for agreeing to bring the JP. A pity we couldn’t arrange a formation fly-by with the only other pure jet…model F16. 😀

Nice photos Neal H. Did you get any more of us or our friends G-BTCH and G-AHNR?

Just seen the JP on another forum. Yes looks like it was at Kemble as well. Is that your JP then?

My hero :D:D

I guess you did not go to Kemble on Sunday after all! (you mentioned it in another forum)

Still I could be wrong – I have not downloaded my pics from the open day yet.

Nice pics Neal.

Pitts G-BETI with Cassutt G-RUNT
Starduster Too G-BNNA
Taylorcrafts G-BRIH and the Lovely G-BREY

All in all a fantastic day at Leicester the circuit was busy all day, sometimes the approach looking like the PFA rally.
