…from Motorhead has died, aged 70.
Not, as expected, from a gross excess of sex and drugs and rock’n’roll, but from cancer diagnosed on Boxing Day.
You know I’m born to lose,
And gambling’s for fools,
But that’s the way I like it baby,
I don’t wanna live for ever…

Nevermind – a forum death list rarely works.

Does it have to be a musician?
If not my vote is for Russell Brand. Or Jo Brand. Or both.
If so, Cliff has been around far too long.

Stay classy my friend. 😀
Really, putting out a “wish they would die” list on a forum where you’re a moderator?
Remember, Karma’s a b!#ch!

It’s only a bit of fun!! 😉 It may have escaped your notice but there are hundreds of public petitions to influence decisions which the public are not empowered to make.
Lemmy would have loved it!!
Just came across this – Finnish advert for milk…..Lemmy’s last piece of work!!

Won’t happen since it is up to the scientists who discovered the new elements to name them – not the public.
Now, if those scientists want to name one after Lemmy…

I agree, they were definitely the loudest band I ever saw (or should that be heard). I had tinnitus for hours afterwards and at one point thought I’d done permanent damage to my hearing! I believe there is a campaign to have the new element 118 that is being added to the periodic table named Lemmynium as it is a very heavy metal. Something of an oxy-moron if that’s the right word as Lemmy always insisted Motorhead were a Rock ‘n’ Roll band, not heavy metal.
RIP Lemmy, boy you were good, man you were LOUD!!

Lemmy was a class act who literally lived his life to the full, nobody can deny it was a life well lived.
I saw Motorhead live once many years ago without doubt it was the loudest gig I have ever been to, can’t imagine heaven being peaceful with old Lemmy up there.
RIP Lemmy.

He will now be riding on a SILVER MACHINE, decorated with an ACE OF SPADES symbol.
RIP Lemmy, you will be sorely missed by many.

Must be the time of year.
John Bradbury, drummer with The Specials, aged 62 – http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/john-bradbury-specials-drummer-and-two-tone-pioneer-dead-at-62-20151229
Paul Walden, better known as Guru Josh, aged 51 – http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/dec/29/guru-josh-rave-star-dies-aged-51
Who will go next, trying to be the last to check out this year…?

I was lucky that I got to see them at Download a couple of years ago. They sounded amazing live. RIP.

Yes, I hadn’t considered the alternatives.

AIDS?
But I’m sure the ‘and drugs and rock’n’roll’ bit would make it more of a mass infliction rather a solo thing, although this was the man who recently decided to change his drink of choice from whisky and coke to vodka on health grounds

How does one die from a ‘gross excess of sex’ ? I’m more than interested.
By: Moggy C - 29th December 2015 at 09:46
Did anyone ever point out to him that nobody does?
