Hi again,
after the positive reaction to my “World of Lürssen” series I´ll open a new series today: modern mine hunters/sweepers
For starters I have some of the very successful and good looking Leric class for you.

Always open to feedback.
Regards.

Hi,
ok since nobody is really interested in those older drawings, here are some more Lerici derivatives: both modern South Korean MCMVs. Since pictures are scars I hope I got them right. If someone spots any mistake, please let me know:

Glad you don´t mind:-))
Let´s start off with some German build MCMVs than. First is the former mine sweeper MS343 Hameln class of which 5 were recently converted to mine hunters MJ333 and 5 to mine drone control boats for the Troika simulated mine sweeping system (depicted):
Next is the mine hunter MJ332 Frankenthal class of which two were sold to the UAE, four will be converted to serve as for missions of the naval protection forces from 2008 onwards and one will be converted to serve as clearance diver employment platform. It is depicted here with the planned but canceled “mine hunting 2000” remote operated SWATH drone called Seepferd (see horse). Actually those would have operated with the above mentioned converted MJ333 class:

And sadly the only export success for this unique modular design, the Turkish MHV-54 Alanya class:
Enjoy.
BTW. if someone has a decent line drawing of the USN Osprey or some nice shots of Singapores Bedok class (especially from the rear section) I´d greatly appreciate that.
Regards.

Modern MCMVs drawings
Hi again,
since we already went hilariously off topic I thought I´d entertain you with some other mine sweepers /hunters while I try to find some more time for those additional Lerici derivatives.
First up are some brand new imagines. Hope you like them.

Hi,
Yeah, I included the 76mm guns because it is/was the intended armament but I know it wont be fitted. Never the less a very nice design. Shiplover is planning to draw a deck view for it and a CTOL version as well. How is it coming shiplover?
Very nicely modified. Just one thing: NEVER EVER SAVE IN JPG!!!!! Always use gif. Jpg tends to screw up the imagines and adds color fragments all over the place.
To participate in that discussion I drew a modified Commadanti class some time ago which should fit perfectly as well:
Glad you´d like to help. Have to hurry though, not many modern Italian ships left out there:-))) How about Garibaldi?
Regards.
MConrads, your drawings always kick-ass. Great job and keep them coming. Do you have one of the new German F125?

And how will you move the aircraft in the hangar;-)))
Regards.
Simple, I don’t move.
This configuration is for transport/storage only, not for operational.
2nd case, with 12 F35B and 8 EH101 in hangar plus 14 F35B and 5 EH101 on deck. (plus F35 italian navy will buy) To see how many parking space we have on Cavour. Total 39 with 24 aircraft expected in operational config

Real capacity of hangar of Italian Carrier Cavour. I overload the hangar with 17 AV8B, all aircraft of Navy, and 7 EH101. Typical expected airgroup for Cavour il 12 AV8B/F35, 3 EH101 AEW and 5 EH101 ASW/ASH

I know the problem of jpeg, which program you use?
Garibaldi e the 3 Santi LPD are the last before the end.
Comandanti class is to small for use as light frigate with is 1500 tonn, on forum we prefer unit of 3000 tonn with high abitability.
In december I modified the official layout of Cavour from 8/12 aircraft to 20/24 and this is the result:
Official image
Modified, more realistic flight group – 12 F35B and 8 EH101

other

Somewhere, but where is the problem, I have other image. When I find it, I post all. I park 30+ F35B on Cavour, plus of aircraft of Italian Navy will buy.

Hi,
Beatiful job. I see on your site the Cavour, it’s perfect but it has only Aster 15 and 76 they aren’t.

On italian forum, we speak one week ago on light frigate for Italian Navy and, for example, Lafayette modified is a good ship. I modified your pix for example

Hi Wanshan,
thanks for the post. Did you want to encourage me to draw them as well or “just” add some more info?
Next up will be the US and Korean boats.

Osprey Class Coastal Minehunter, USA: The design of the ship is based on the Italian Lerici Class minehunters built by Intermarine at Sarzana.
Thailand: 10 Countries offered their Mine Countermeasure Vessels to the RTN, who selected intermarine for the supply of this new Class of ships, named “Lat Ya Class”.
Two minehunters of the Ohuè Class were ordered from intermarine by the Nigerian Navy in 1983.
The first foreign Navy to perceive the validity ofintermarine technology was the Royal Malaysian Navy. In 1981, well before the completion of the first “Lerici” built for the Italian Navy, they awarded intermarine a contract for four minehunters. The four minehunters of the “Mahamiru Class” were delivered by the end of 1985.
