Let there be…lots and lots of lights

Travelling around means I get to see lots of houses decorated for Christmas, although the word ‘decorated’ is quite relative. Some homes look fine, with a few lights and other decorations, whilst others look as though they are posing for next years catalogue…
In some cases one house and its neighbours almost appear to be competing to see who can cram the most illumination onto their frontage before the parish suffers a blackout.

Have you decorated the outside of your home (those of you not confined to an institution, of course) or maybe your neighbour is driving you crazy (crazier?) with flashing coloured lights and a giant inflatable Santa that sings Fairy Tale of New York to each passerby at all hours of the night…
