I don’t know about you guys, but every year I seem to buy a navy calendar and it’s basically the same boring old shots mostly of the USN with their Already Broke class DDGs or the CVNs and what little content there is of something odd, doesn’t seem inspiring at all. So I call upon you guys to show some pics of what you might think will make a good calendar pic of something other than the USN vessels (mind you, I’m not closing out the USN, just show me something decent for once)!
Here are some examples from me:
The Danish Absalon Class vessels
LE Roisin from Ireland
The Dutch De Zeven Provincen class
HTMS Chakri Naruebet
Israeli Dolphin Class
INS Viraat
See what you can come up with.

Wanshan ;
Can anybody explain the different covers on the launch tubes (I suppose some are empte/dummy, some live and some have this glass/windowlike cover)
I suppose ;
The launch tubes that surpass from the floor and have a glass / window are loaded with the Seawolf missile and is ready for launch,the launch tubes that surpass from the floor and have a metal cap/top are loaded with the Seawolf but can not be launched and the launching tubes that not surpass from the floor are simply empty

I spent almost 9 years in the USN and I have plenty of pictures my shipmates and I took while on deployments.

If possible could people possibly either post a low res version of the image here or just post a link, because those photos are all insanely large.

Perhaps you can tell me the operational status of these planes, last I heard they were non operational as only three pilots were still qualified and the planes were not serviceable.
