Hi all
Not really an air show.. this was from the friday as the participants arrived.. unfortunately the day of the air show was ruined by the weather curtailing most displays and reducing the Vulcan’s display to 2 high speed runway runs.
So those of us who were there on friday got to see the best of the action with the Vulcan, F-16, Typhoon, Hunter and others doing a short display….. thanks chaps!!
In no particular order (foreign first then RAF):

More to follow……

The aircraft behind the c-130 is a Tucano it buzzed the tail of the Herc a few times.
Cheers for that Scotty amd I right in saying that XM470 was based in South Africa? Oh yeah you can just make out the RAF crest on the wings. And I just notice there’s a griffin flying with the blue eagles.

I think it is a Strikemaster, an armed to the teeth version of the Jet Provost?
Steve
Is that a Jet Provost in the 3rd batch of shots? Nice shots there scotty thanks for posting 😎 anyone know what the aircraft is behind the BAF C-130/ Oh and one other thing is I hear that there will be no sole hawk display next year due to RAF cuts 🙁

Nice pictures but it does not look to me that the Vulcan in your pic was at the height of a loop. More like a climbing high angle of bank turn followed by a descent. The angle at which you are viewing with a camera also makes it look more dramatic particularly as it appears you caught it in a descending turn. Still very impressive though.

Thanks for the Strikemaster info guys.
Scott: in that case i deffo never shot it, i did’nt go to the show on saturday (thankfully….weather!!)so was never on the base.
OldShape: did’nt roll her but did do a loop( 3rd shot was taken at the height of the loop) very impressive flying throwing such a huge aircraft around like a small trainer.

ITHM the Auster came on a trailer.
Vulcan pics…….imply it rolled. Didn’t did it?

Strikemaster Mk.82A in it’s original colours of Oman 425. Now registered G-SOAF and I doubt that it came by road considering it is airworthy and flies wherever it goes:D
