So, who made it and who managed to meet up? Sorry I missed the meet, wasn’t in the right place at the right time and then didn’t know who to look out for later! How was your day?
We had a great day out. Weather wasn’t special, but at least the rain held off. It was the first air show my children have attended and they loved it, so did the other half……huge relief since I dragged them all there kicking and screaming 🙂
What a pity the BBMF didn’t put in an appearance, I was really looking forward to seeing them.
Full marks to the organisers for their traffic management and marshalling in car parks etc. Worked a dream for us with minimum hold ups and only the expected amount of slow traffic inbound and outbound for a short period of time.
Ticket price for a family of 4 (could have taken an extra child for same price), purchased in advance was £30 which I would say was excellent value.
PS: Anyone manage to get any decent photo’s they can post? Have decided taking photo’s at air shows is not my forte 😮

I’d say the odds are against the Fury myself attending about 5/95 🙂

Sorry to disappoint you Merlin 3945 but the Sea Fury and Sea Hawk have both vanished from the list of flying aircraft for Leuchars 😡
Alas it was not to be.
Thanks for that Bucc driver.
I like the little bit of small writing in the bottom of the list
Aircraft Participation may be subject to change.
Im sure that wasnt there before but hey thats airshow life for you.
I notice on the civlian flying front we have picked up a pitts and 2 yaks great for me to watch as this is my favourite type of flying “aerobatic”.

Hopefully there will be 4 Typhoons there as advertised.
Don’t know about the Sea Fury, but the out-of-hours movements page on the Royal Navy website lists a Sea Fury as being at Leeming on the 11th of September. This was last updated on Friday.
Yes I read about 4 typhoons meant to be there but as far as I know only one flying the rest are static.
And I am as confident as I can be about the Sea Fury. I had emailed the Airshow crew and they said “The Sea Fury is still planning to attend the airshow”
As I said as confident as I can be.

Where & when?
Say around 1100. As for where, maybe by one of the larger aircraft in the static park, B52 or something?

I’ll be there on the Friday and Saturday, (enthusiasts weekend package).
Ditto. Best way to do the show in my opinion. Just praying for good weather.

Me too.
Word of advice to any newbies going by car. The traffic is horrendous every year. Use the park and ride-it saves a lot of time getting out of the airfield after.
