According to the Spanish sports newspaper, Marca, Lewis Hamilton has booked a flight for himself and some of his family on Sir Richard Branson’s, Virgin Galactic.
2009 is the date set for their adventure.
At 150,500€ for the flight, which promises a once in a lifetime experience, a different view of Earth and 5 minutes of weightlessness, I’m seriously considering the idea of buying a ticket.
NB: I can find no weblink that mentions anything about Lewis’ purchase, only the general Virgin Galactic website:

That’s what they said about mans attempts to fly!!
😀 Exactly what may father remembers as a child, he was born in 1895, a month before Reginald Mitchell.
I remember when it was believed impossible that a manned aircraft could ever break the sound barrier and find it odd that people still live who don’t believe anything possible.
That’s life.

Really?
Few 23 year olds can boast such a power.
Let’s hope that Sir Richard isn’t the last of the great entrepreneurs of our time.
It’s sad that he wasn’t given the chance to run the national lottery in the UK, IMO.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see that if he does actually go ahead with it he strikes some sort of sponsorship deal with Virgin Galactic to help promote them and earn himself a side income to his normal day job of F1 racing; he’s also a brand ambassador for Learjet you know!:)

Apparently, Marca is not alone, there are now quite a few websites, plus The Evening Standard carrying the ‘story’ as fact and other websites that refute it.
Either way, true or false, it’s news.:D

It’s worth pointing out here that “Marca” is notorious among European sports fans, and particularly football fans, for having a somewhat relaxed and flexible atttude towards the role of objective fact within it’s reportage.
Allegedy.
