Nothing whatsoever to do with the Swiss tax system, obviously.

He was asked by Michael Parkinson: “I imagine you have been advised because of tax also?”
Hamilton replied: “Also, that definitely adds to it.”
Good old Parkinson! 😀

Watched him on the news today explaining why he was moving to Switerland, I can’t stand one thing and that is a liar.
He sat there and tried to explain it away like he didn’t want the hastle of being recognised on the streets and wanted to escape the pressure of fame, all this while he was trying his level best to stop smirking and laughing and failing.
If he had just sat there and said “I’ve hit the big time and want to make the most of my earnings” then I would have respected him for that but to lie on record, tallent or not hes just gone down a peg or two in my estimation.
John.
Be real, he and no one in a similar situation would announce in public domain, that their reason for moving offshore are for tax avoidance.

is that a forecast or just wishful thinking

Hogwash and balderdash! The boy Hamilton finished the season in 2nd place and that’s all there is to it.
Why can’t people just recognise what a tremendous achievement that actually is for a young driver in his 1st season in Formula 1 and give him the credit he’s due instead of demeaning his achievement by fishing around for conspiracies? 😡
By the way, presumably you’ve got evidence to back up the allegations you’ve made in your posting because we’re not paying your legal fees, matey! 😎
its a free country,we live in a democracy i am exercising my democratic rights to express my opinion as is anyone who contributes to this forum acceppt that other people than yourself can express an opinion, i have great admiration for lewis hamilton the driver has got real natural talent, feel and anticipation and deserves a racing team who appreciate and nurture this talent.

Totally agree with your view.

youve heard the addage”one born every minute” welcome !and its not a conspiracy inference, just a true picture of what occured the boy was overwhelmed by politics and a team so coruppt it defies description ,just face facts motor racing is a big rip off nothing is natural and acheived by driving talent, how can it be when computers control every move and action the car performs ,its wide open to hacking .

Blah Blah…His nerves didn’t hold in the last two final races and that what costs him his chanmpionship nothing else. There were no conspiracies, just a new and inexperienced driver making few minor but in the ned cruisal mistakes in the cruisal moment.

1) And to do what? Order Alonso to come to the pit earlier? How would that have changed anything? Remember than Alonsos laptimes started to lag only few rounds before the lapstop.
2) When Mclaren read the conmuterlog from the car after the race, they discovered that Hamlinton had pressed the engineshotdown button (or something similar) by himself…propaply pressing all the switches in panic after his spin. The car didn’t stop but the cars computer required time to recover and the gearbox wasen’t operational for short while. Hamlinton admitted this by himself also.
3) Mclaren and Ferrari had been quite equal for the whole season, almoust in turns one was bit ahead the other and in next race all was upside down and the team that wasen’t so fast last time was now the fastest. In the last race Mclaren just weren’t that fast.
If Mclaren would have been considerable more conpetitive in the rest of the season races, then why Kimi with ferrari had more wins than Alonso or Hamlinton? These conspiracy theories are just sore looser talks, and quite pitifull.
You brittons just have to face it that you guys might have ruled the world once and ect. but when it comes to driving cars fast, there is only one country worth of mention:dev2: :dev2: 😉

By the way, the Formula One World Drivers Championship has been won 3 times by Finns since 1950. During the same period, Britons have won it 8 times.
So there!
but there is 60 million britons compared to five million finns….By that much population we would have won 36 times the championship:rolleyes:
And I’m not only refering to Formula 1, but to all other motorsports for example in Rally, say one legendary driver who isen’t a finn? Lampi, Mikkola, Vatanen, Alen, Kankkunen, Mäkinen, Grönholm…just few to name..

Bet he is worried about your estimation !!!
I can think of several million tax free reasons why he’s not worried about my estimation:D 😀 😀 😀 .

‘Great’ drivers don’t always win…Stirling Moss never did. 🙁
Can’t really blame Hamilton for the move to Switzerland…would have been nice if he had been honest about it though.
Your words are so true .
By: Creaking Door - 30th October 2007 at 21:43
…the essence of a “great” driver & team is that of a driver & team that have that killer instinct that can deliver when the pressure is on…

not right at all
1 how could a teams technicians miss worn tyres when they were visible on 6 monitors,
2 a gearbox problem evident in park ferme is ignored resulting in partial failure for 40 seconds enough to cost him precious time and points
3 ,how can a car competitive all season suddenly lose pace on both counts (fernados too) and fail to produce on the day?
cut it any way you want lewis was robbed by his own team ,and why? politics and ferrari tampering, lewis should distance himself from maclaren and opt for a team who want to win
