The BBMF paid their annual visit to Kenley Aerodrome this afternoon and most appropriately LF363 was chosen to pay tribute to those who served at this historic aerodrome. LF363 was briefly based at Kenley in 1951 and also appeared in the film Angels One Five that was filmed at the aerodrome.

Great pictures of LF363. I am also glad to see the early type exhausts have been manufactured and fitted as well. They look so much better than the Fishtail ones. They have also been fitted to Spitfire P7350 as well. Again they look brilliant on her too.

Thanks for the pics. It’s great that the RAF and BBMF still remember and commemorate this true BoB airfield.
Is there anything significant about the date?
What is left of this airfield now?

It was a fantastic turnout, as much as I love the Spit, I,m glad it was the Hurricane that did the honours today.
Thanks for posting up the pics.

There was a really good turn out today, several hundred people made the effort.
Good luck with the move.
BTW. I’m just down the road from you in Whyteleafe.

Many thanks for those Septic… I wanted to get up there today to pay my respects too, but my imminent move to Caterham-on-the-Hill has meant I’ve spent the day filling empty boxes…
Cheers
