There are a lot of reports coming out that India is going to co-produce a new fifth generation fighter with Russia.There are also reports that they are going to develop the MCA.Can India afford both these. I know that the LFI is going to be a multi role fighter and teh MCA more of a strike aircraft. But assuming the importance of the huge cost is it a smart thing to try and develop both these aircraft.
How different will the MCA be from the LFI. Looks like the LFI will be able to carry out strike missions on its own so does India need a dedicated strike aircraft?
