A nice sunny afternoon at LHR – went to get the Asiana, to fill a gap in my collection.
Lots nice heavies as the sun moved around.

Cheers,
Phil.

Thanks for the kind words, chaps. 😀
I took all these pics with my Canon EOS D60 and 75-300mm lens.
The Bahraini 747-400 was apparently bringing in the Premier who was to attend the graduation of one of his charges.
Bloomin lucky to get it too – it was going around as I parked up! 😎

Absolutely awesome shots,Phil.
especially love the Kenya 777 😀 😀 😀
Manston:
Airbus use the numbers after the model as engine codes, i.e. “A330” (the model, obviously) “2” the Variant (200/300/500 etc…) “4” the Engine manufacturer (0: General Electric,1: CFM ,2: Pratt&Whitney,3: IAE, 4: Rolls Royce, 6: Engine Alliance) and the final digit is the manufacturers particular engine model, so a -243 is a -200 variant using Rolls royce engine variant 3. Open to correction, as i’m working from a poor memory here 🙂 🙂
Oh right thank you for the information 🙂

Thank you for the info why do they call it an A330-243 why not just call it A330-200?
That 1st 744 where is it from?
James
It differentiates the different versions of the engines. RR engined 332s are -243s such as the one in the photo. Other variants are the -223 and -203.

That 744 is flown by the Barhain Amiri Flight, which transport all VIPs from that country’s Royals around the world.
