Hi All.
Went to LHR this afternoon to get a few snaps of G-BOAB being towed to her new location.
Quite a good afternoon in all. An Air France A340 diverted to LHR for an emergency landing. I counted a total of 11 Police cars and 2 fire engines!!! 😮
Also there today, i got my first look at the new Austrian Airlines Colours on the first A320 to be painted in them – Not bad, but not great!
The Lord of the Rings, Air New Zealand 747 was in today, along with an IL-96 of Aeroflot, an A300 of Olmpic, an A300 of Egyptair, an MD-11 of Varig and An MD-11 of Eva Air.
G-BOAB was towed up to the crossing gate right on time (3pm on the dot!) She was then bought across into the main part of the airport, and taken to her new location, where she is on display to the public for at least the next year.

Its not a good shot… far from it, but how often to we, (a) get an IL-96 in at LHR. (b) do we see pics of them on the forum. :p:D
