LHR 3/12/2006

A hour at a chilly and windswept Myrtle Avenue produced the following:

Does anyone know why they switched runways at 12:00 and at 15:00, or is this a new operating pattern?

Enjoy…. 😀

(Note: For those of you interested in such facts, these pictures were all taken with my Canon 350D and Canon 28-135 IS USM zoom.)

Top work Lance, Iberia need to clean their steps before using them 😀

😀 they sure do. Nice shots Lance

They switch so that the people living around myrtle avenue dont have aircraft flying over there house all day. similarly for landings on 27R. Hope this helps you. (I beleive its true as well. im sure i will be corrected if its not)

But if they chance the runway due to landings dont they take off over the road instead then ?

Love the Iran Air, the main gear looks very small!

Wonderful shots, Mr Casey! Good to see an aircraft I’ve flown on in there as well (CS-TTN). 🙂

I thought that was only once daily though, at 1500. So why the switch at 1200 is the question. 🙂
