LHR 6/1 Emirates A380 and some moon shots

I was intending to spend the day in the warm nursing a cold I seem to have had for weeks but a combination of sparkling blue skies, 09R departures and a daytime moon was just too tempting, so a day out in the cold at the Row it was

After a long wait in the cold A6-EDD finally departs 😀

Went on airliners and found that Fokker pic is number one in the photagrphers choice.

Good job mate.

Thanks, just found out myself. I was amazed that it even got past the screeners let alone make it to the front page! They seem to reject everything else I send them. Remember you saw it here first 😀

I’ll take it back, if you think I’m being overly-complimentary.

Don’t take it back, it’s the best compliment I had in ages and it really made my day. It’s nice to know that fellow enthusiast appreciate your work, it makes all that waiting around in the cold worthwhile! We can all improve and learn from each other, that’s half the fun. It’s just when I see some of the amazing images on airliners and jetphotos I feel I still have a long way to go.

All the best, Tony

Fantastic shots there. The BA 747 is my pic of the bunch!! Do you have any higher res shots?

There are some bigger images (presume that’s what you mean by high res) of the above on my fotopic pic site, just click on the link below. They may even appear on some well known aviation picture sites if they manage to get past the sceeners :p

I would second that, I have a long way to go to get to the level of…any number of other posters on this forum come to think of it!

Tony 😀

Don’t put yourself down so much!
I am sure there are things that you can do to get even better photos, but I was merely expressing my opinion.

I’ll take it back, if you think I’m being overly-complimentary.

Thanks for your comments Cloud 9 😮

You are right about the Emirates time keeping which is abysmal. On this day it left around 14:15 which is not too bad, has been over an hour late departing some days.

My cold is still hanging on but I am over the worst hopefully

Adore the Austrian Arrows F70 and the second EK A380 ones.

What time did the EK A380 depart, it is due to go at 13:45pm, but so far I have never seen it depart on-time, which is not a good thing for Emirates’s reputation.

Keep up with the spectacularly good work.

Has your cold/flu got worse since you’ve been out?
