LHR-CDG-LHR by A380

Jumbo Girl’s been on an A380 :D:D:D

Most of the pics are from the LHR-CDG leg on the upper deck. Had to let my buddy have the window on the CDG-LHR leg when we were on the lower deck.

Malaysian 747 at LHR:

My steed arrives:

The in-flight entertainment system:

Really cool window bins (the perfect size for hiding your camera from the cabin crew in :D)

The A380 has SERIOUSLY cool external cameras (one on the nose, one in the tail and the other on the belly):

We’re all guilty of being a little too ‘to the point’ on the internet from time to time – I’m no stranger to that, but Steve hasn’t said anything whatsoever to deserve the post you directed at him. That was completely unfair. He simply made a small comment and still actually said nice photos.

I’m a total photo geek and it’s great to see people posting photos here so please continue to do so, but also think about practicing what you preach when talking about putting people off. I’m fairly sure had you directed a comment like that at a newbie member they’d have been pretty much instantly put off!

Actually Squeaky is a relative newcomer to the forum. She joined earlier this year and has 42 posts to your 5,114. In any event I am sure Steve is capable of answering for himself as he has already without spinning this out of all proportion.

Very interesting photos. I’m off to Sydney in October on a Qantas A380 – I can’t wait!

I didn’t say my photos were great – I just thought that you guys would be interested in seeing a relatively new aircraft from the inside. They were meant to be informative, not technically brilliant.

I don’t expect loads of people to enthuse about the quality, I would just expect that people adhere to the old adage “if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”.

I’m a single mum with the best camera I can afford, and as I said before, I’m an enthusiast, not a professional.

I just think people should be a bit more careful with their comments as this forum is notorious for putting people off. Luckily, I’m a bit more thick-skinned than others.

Squeaky – as someone who’s posted hundreds of photos here over the last 5 years I can say with absolute certainly the last thing Steve makes a habit of is putting people’s photos down, and the way you’ve responded to him when he simply expressed an opinion is nothing short of offensive. He’s done absolutely nothing wrong. If you only want people to say ‘wow, awesome photos’ then you’re probably best keeping them away from the internet because that just isn’t the way things work. If you choose to post then you have to be prepared to hear both positive and negative comments.

The photos aren’t great (especially for a DSLR) but they’re quite interesting nonetheless.

Squeaky..i think you’ve lost the plot my friend.. i don’t put anybodys photos down.. i always give credit where it’s due..if you care to point out these I’ll happily change them but you won’t find any..why don’t you take a general consensus among the lads and see what their opinion is..as for your friend..he’s lost the plot i’m afraid..i’m totally perplexed by your last post

LOL @ Steve

You really don’t like to like anyone’s photos do you!!! Chill your beef!

It wasn’t a camera phone at all, it was with my DSLR. Everyone knows the light on airliners doesn’t help with photos, neither does shooting through an aircraft window!

I was warned about you before I even signed up to this site, a friend of mine said “don’t be put off by Steve Rowell, he doesn’t like anything” and HOW true!

I’m not a professional photographer Steve, I’m a freight forwarder who enjoys aircraft photography. If you don’t like my photos (if only I had £1 for every time I’ve seen you use the word “grainy”) then I’ll thank you not to comment on them at all.

Thanks
Aggy

Nice pictures :). Flew on the A380 to CDG the weekend just gone wasnt lucky enough to get a window seat, but sat downstairs to CDG and upstairs back from CDG. Had a 2 hour delay leaving heathrow because of a fault with the rear cargo door and a very bumpy ride because of the weather but coming back was the smoothest plane ive ever flown on 🙂

Very Nice Aggy – My turn on Sunday – I can hardly wait. :diablo: I have yet to see an A380 yet, let alone fly on it. I must be the only person on the forum who has not seen one yet.

That last photo from the first post is excellent – the approach from the tail camera. I don’t think I’ve been on an airline with those before, the cameras would be excellent for taxi/take off/landing I imagine.

I wonder if they would ever think about saving the last hour or two to the flight data recorders, as further evidence :s
