Hello All,
A spotting/photo question.
What sort of photos could i get from myrtle avenue when 09R is in use?,with easterlies forecast for the next few days i’m wondering whether its possible to get half decent photos (of the heavies anyway) from this spot,or at least a reasonable walk from it(20 minutes).
Thanks.

Thanks Andrew,i was considering staying at home, but those sort of angles would be sufficient for myself, nice weather too,so i’ll position myself around myrtle avenue,i’d really like to get some photos of Air New Zealand & Qantas.
Thanks for the advice;)

If your stuck to walking then goto Cains Lane or Bedfont sports ground which is at the end of Myrtle.
you won’t make the spot I took the BA 747 on foot.
I won’t be down this weekend so take some shots for me!

Personally, If you can use transport, either your own or public, get down to the 09 end. If this is a problem, then there are a few possible locations down at the 27L end where you can get ‘climb out’ shots.
Perhaps something like this:

Perhaps Mr Schofield himself or some other LHR’s could advise.
All the best and have a great time at LHR.
