Not had the chance to put these up yet, due to the recent forum problems… so here goes.
Last Monday (22/11/04) i met up at LHR with T5 and Matthew Willmott-Sharp. The day started of just right – quite a mild, and nice sunny morning. But that was soon ruined by the looming clouds coming in from the west.
It was nice to meet up with these two again, as i had not seen them for a while. Matt had to Sadly head off to work about 1:30ish, but luckily he did no miss much in the way of traffic. As per usual, all BA… but only the small stuff.
Myself and michael called it a day around 3, as the light had more or less gone, and shots were next to impossible.
A big thanks to the 2 guys that showed up, and thanks to Matt for the help on the trailing pics.
🙂
1. 9A-CRO – Republic of Croatia CL-600, this was indeed the nicest suprise of the day. LHR was packed with the big biz stuff – 3 VIP 747’s! (A6-SMR, VP-BAT & V8-ALI)
2. 9Y-JIL – From Myrtle Av. An ex Virgin bird if im not mistaken?
3. A6-EMX – the only EK flight that came in for the entire time we were there.
4. C-FCAB – catching some nice sunlight on finals to 27L.
5. D-ABVF – Heading FRA-BOS, seen here high above LHR.
6. D-AIAH – Is that a head i see poking out of the 4th window? :p
7. FCA 757 – heading back over to Ireland.
8. G-BNLU – Taken while on finals – very close. 😀
9. G-BNWB – A nice golden wintery glow.
10. G-BNWR – about 15 seconds from touchdown!

Wow.. first time I’ve seen these shots – all are excellent! 😀
Nice to see G-CPEO, the only aircraft in that batch that I’ve actually been on.

Great shots Andrew! The Lauda 737s operate for Austrian, as they are all one big company now in Austria.
I was aware that Lauda was wholly owned by the Austrian Group, but was always under the impression that Austrian operated the scheduled services and Lauda did the charters.
