Liaison Aircraft Pics

Hello there! I’m fairly new to the board, so I hope I’m not out of line here.
My primary interests are the Doolittle Raider aircraft AND Liaison Aircraft. I’m a member of the Alamo Liaison Squadron in Texas (some people think that’s part of the USA), where we maintain some of the old L-birds.
I’m including here a few shots from one of my web albums and from one of the events we hosted last year. I hope you enjoy them.

I’m very interested in seeing your local L-bird pictures as well.

Well, those shots deserve at least an attempt…

Here are some of my all-time favorite shots from my sister (who’s the primary photographer at the flying events – since I’ve got my hands on stick and throttle!).

This was at our annual fundraiser in May. A gentleman in his 80s came out who’d flown these aircraft over Okinawa in 1945. Hadn’t flown in an L-5 since then and I got to give him a ride!

(This picture is from one of the fellow’s family members – I have permission to use it)

Waaay too much fun, and what a special opportunity to honor our veterans. I’m not sure who had more fun…

I’ve met the owners of the L5 once or twice, a few pics of it here taken on Sunday (together with a Cub from the same airfield).
