Libertarian free market state vs Social democratic states, which do you prefer?

it seems like we got alot of people here arguing over which kind of society they prefer..

a Libertarian type state where free-market reigns, less state control over economy and low taxes

versus

A socialist type state where there’s more government control and subsidization of programs such as welfare, which requires high taxes.

so which be ye and why?

my personal answer.. I choose the latter because in the area I live in, we have no market :p :dev2:
