If you think that the Israeli regime will live on forever, this thread is off topic for you.
For the rest of the world, what do you think?
1. How long will this experiment (the Israeli โstateโ, in its current format as for-Jews-only) continue to exist? Place your bets (metaphorically speaking)
A) 5 years
B) 10 years
C) 15 years
D) 20 years
E) More than 20 years
F) Less than 5 years
2. What will be the main reason for its demise?
A) Internal fighting (Israeli)
B) Corruption
C) Arab countriesโ invasion
D) Natural disaster
E) Demographics
F) Nuclear attack
G) Palestinian mega attack
H) Sell out (selling the state for the highest bidder)
I) Financial/economic collapse
J) Other

I think there is a beef with Israel here (Israeli regime?).
Personally, I think that Israel will last. As a Christian, I know my views are going to be very different from those of most reading this, but I think that God gave Israel that land way back in the day, and they’re kinda destined to hold on to it.
In Genesis 12:3, God says to Abraham (Israel’s big time patriarch): “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse” Here God is talking about Abraham’s descendants… being the Jews, who happen to inhabit modern Israel. Since God’s promises never expire, this one is still in effect. Therefore, God’s hand of protection is over them. Will the current government last forever? Who knows; the Jews were out of that land for a long time in the Middle Ages. But ultimately it will be theirs.

Since my only justification for being on here is that I’m mad about flying boats,do I have to make my excuses and leave then?(please say no !)
Hi BB,
Just a thought – have you read ‘Twenty Thousand Miles in a Flying Boat’ by Sir Alan Cobham (around Africa in the 1920’s) incredible story, especially the wife’s part!.
Cheers Brian Doherty.:D

The population of Israel is 6,352,117. The population grows 1.16% bigger each year. The average life span in israel is 77-81 years. Israel is slightly smaller than New Jersey.
Largely unconsciously, Israel has become one of the main sources of radicalism in the Arab and Muslim worlds. I am emphasizing that this may be unintentional because the very idea of Israel as an exclusively Jewish entity has served as a rallying point for a whole range of partially violent movements, from the socialist “lefties” to the Islamist “jihadist”. In other words, this radical opposition to the “Zionist” ideal at the heart of Israel would be out there irrespective of the actions of the state.
Of course, Israel’s self-identification with the “West” (i.e. western Europe and the United States) and its Machiavellian power politics toward the “East” (i.e. the Arab and Islamic worlds) have not been conducive to its intellectual and political integration into West Asia and North Africa. But one tends to concur with Jacqueline Rose when she writes in The Question of Zion, that “‘Zionism’ has always felt itself under threat and often for good reason.” The idea of Israel–its foundational myths, its exclusionary tenor, its us-versus-them taxonomy–has been rejected by the region from the outset.

Well in my book flying boats trump helicopters any time, so no, stick around ๐

Now you’re just talking crazy.:D
I like a nice flying boat as much as the next guy, just last weekend I drove up to see the local firefighting Catalina, and if money were no object, I’d love a matched USAF 1950s rescue set of an Albatross and H-19…but helicopters are the way to go even though most made in the last 30-40 years are boring.

Saw a cracking model of an RCAF Catalina today .Trouble is it was ยฃ 80 and half the size of the box.

In your anxiety to tell us all about your problems with the Jewish people you seem to have missed entirely the point that the ex-poster had made no contribution to this AVIATION forum other than to post on a single non-aviation subject here in GD.

Every aggressor (no matter what their punch line is) is bound to get doomed in the end. When I say end, its for everyone who has similar path. The world doesn’t sympathise with Israelis, only media does. The terms like “anti-semetic” are not everybody’s, they are used by politicians and media tycoons.
Anyways, time will tell but I will go with option 2E.

Many British servicemen died when the Jewish state was created, our poor sods had fought a long war, in some ways to save the Jewish race, fair enough, my father included, he dicovered Belsen during a Panzer battle. But many British troops ended up in Palestine with the inevitable consequences, the Israelis didn’t give a s”’ who they killed to get their own way, Hotel David springs to mind.
I have family members who risked their lives to save these people from the Nazis during the war and were treated with the threat of starvation at the end of it because they hadn’t got enough ‘sheckels’ to see them through, I’m quite happy to elaborate and prove it.
Am I allowed to say this or am I going to be considered anti Semetic, I presume that I am but the truth has to be sounded out, I have no respect for them at all, they really are a wierd, selfish bunch with full American backing, how is that going to help anybody, especially the Palestinians, no matter what Obama says.

Thanks for pointing that out Mr Angry.
I have checked the poster’s record and he hasn’t made a single aviation related contribution in any of his postings. He therefore has a month’s holiday from this board to think one up.

The average lifespan of Israeli men is among the highest in developed countries, according to an annual Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel report released yesterday. Israeli women, meanwhile, rank close to the middle of the pack compared to their international counterparts.
Men in only five countries have longer lifespans than Israeli males, who live an average of 78 years: Iceland (79.2), Japan (78.6), Switzerland (78.6), Sweden (78.4), and Australia (78.1).
