Great day, great weather! Disappointment due to the Hunter not running was soon replaced by excitement that both the Canberra and Victor were running!

Good pics Steve and great to hear it was a success. Wish you guys would schedule an open day that didn’t conflict with Legends or Little Gransden though.
Yeh, really sorry we clashed with other events, back in March when we were having delicate discussions with the owners of Bruntingthorpe about the possiblity of an open day they could only let us have the 10th July which was the only date available at the time when the runway and site were not being used by paying customers, we had no choice other than to take it.
The cost of the site would have taken alot of our profits from the day had we had to pay to hire the runway.
Please try and make it on the 28th

Did toy with the idea of trying to get across yesterday, but when I mentioned it in passing on Saturday night I was told in no uncertain terms that we’d had all day at Duxford, I would be out with aeroplanes again on Sunday morning, but that I had jobs to do at home on Sunday afternoon and so going to watch Lightnings was NOT going to be an acceptable course of action…

Great pics, glad you enjoyed the day.
We managed to raise a few more thousand pounds for the QRA hanger, which should see us get the base down and roof on by the end of the year.

My sunburn from the saturday before was another reason i didn’t go…. my feet have swollen twice the size of normal! Still, means i’ve got a few days off sixth form (be a bit hard to go, hurts to walk and can’t fit my feet in my trainers!)
