ScottC will do, I have to go down there again next week I will see if I can find out any info. I would guess it wont be long as I doubt the USAF want it sat around at Fairford long. I drive past the museum ever day anyway.

It is supposed to come here to Farnborough, but has not so far arrived. Being allembled here now is the E28/39 replica displayed at Fairford. Its destined for a roundabout here around the 24th. Looks nice but I would have prefered it to be painted not just silver looking like a giant airfix kit.

Hi
On the subject of lightning repaints are you gonna re paint your F3 Scott

I belive that the repaint was a bit of a rush job to get it ready for RAIT im sure that something would have been done to the undercariage if they had had the time

The repaint was very nice, but for me the end effect was spoilt a bit by the fact that no attention was paid to the tatty state of the undercarriage. I know that’s a bit picky, but it just took the edge off it for me.

Presumably to stop wildlife clambering in while she was sat outside in rural Gloucestershire for a week.

I notice from the pics that she had a anti fod cover fitted whilst being repainted….
Why was this fitted?
Can she be run up?
Was she run up, albeit unofficially?
Paul.

According to the article in FP, it is hoped it will go to FAST at Farnborough.
