Can anyone provide any information about Lilbourne airfield in Northants? I believe it was a WW1 site, but would appreciate an idea of its location relative to the village of the same name and the period it was operational.
TIA

My thanks gentlemen, much appreciated; that is just the background I needed.

Aviation in Northamptonshire would give you more gen, but IIRC it was used by two Home Defence Squadrons flying BE2cs and Avro 504s, I believe it opened in 1916 but had closed by 1920.
I think the hangars were Bessoneaux types so IIRC nothing now survives.
This is just from memory but I hope it helps!
