Jim, on behalf of Blue 2 and myself, we saw this and after our recent conversation, both agreed you needed a bit of cheering up, so we took this for you
enjoy 🙂

Jim I think that once you reach retirement age and are taking more money out than you are putting in you are classified as a Coffin Dodger. I intend to do this for as long as possible. As for the surgery I require apparantly I can take a “running jump” They don’t do knees at the moment(I need one and the other is packing up) As for my Spinal Stenosis that is 15 months overdue from the date I was given! Ever tried to take a running jump with two C rap knees and a back that gives up after a few yards so your legs go dead and you fall down?
They have done the sums
2 knees at 10k a side £20,000
Back 24k minimum £24,000
Total £44,000(at 2010 prices)
Benifit and carers allowance £6,800 p.a.
So on my calculations if I kick the bucket inside 6.47 years the Government wins so I have to live beyond 74 to beat them at their own game.
Note due to my age do the calculation yourself as I could be way off!:)

Glad to se you are on the mend Jim. Try and stay out of Hozzy for a bit will you.
(they don’t like grumpy old bed blockers):D
Hi Paul, managed to block a bed at Lincoln Hospital today, should have stayed over, but they needed the bed. Just can’t figure out whats happeninng to the NHS these days, things just seem to go from bad to worse.
IMHO I am convinced there is a very strong element of ageism running riot once you reach a certain age.
Jim.

Hi Guys, Many thanks for your best wishes, Hopefully things are getting sorted by the NHS, and I may have to have surgery. I don’t think I would like to turn the clock back and re live the last few weeks, but thats life. I don’t know where to start in thanking each and every one of you for what you have said, so I will just say thanks to one and all, and a special thanks to Scott, who, as I have been unable to type, has put down what my wife has typed on my behalf. Received your P.M. Kev, many thanks, considering how we have crossed swords sometimes.
Thanks to a great bunch of friends.
As Arnie said, “I’ll be back”
Scott, I see we have a V.M. “Fan” club, you little bug**R, trust you.:diablo:
