Fundraising towards the centre’s full £5m cost is ongoing but work is due to start in August with part of the site being open by summer 2015.

For the last 20 years or so NKDC has always taken a strong lead and they have been innovative in their approach to aviation; I believe that this scheme has a wider county wide involvement.

Likewise, I can personally vouch for many of Lincolnshire’s Council’s now also embracing their aviation heritage through Aviation Trails and the like! 🙂

I am continually impressed by North Kesteven District Council’s commitment to the memory of the war fought from its fields.

It’s too easy to whinge about local politicians, but they certainly seem to rank amongst the good guys.

An interesting spot Moggy and like you I was encouraged by the last line of the BBC news item – “Fundraising towards the centre’s full £5m cost is ongoing but work is due to start in August with part of the site being open by summer 2015.”

Great news for the region’s aviation offer! 🙂
