OK this is just a quick message to remind those that are coming on Sunday, (you have to be a LLA member) could you if possible not park on the grass along the road next to the BBMF hanger, but use the 2 car parks provided. These car parks will be signposted, once you have followed the signs to the BBMF visitor centre.
We should have some interesting flying for you on Sunday (weather permitting) and you should be able to get up closer to our A/C than you would do on an airshow.
Finally if you have no interest in this day then please don’t comment on this thread. Sorry to say this but after some of the goings on on this forum recently we don’t want any part of it.

p.s forgot to say gates will not open before 10am.

Looks like the BBMF has had a good weekend, and everyone is happy.
Ken.
Except some of the locals down Dogdyke Road. There was quite a little gathering on the footpath when I drove down the road at 14:45, obviously discussing all the parked cars infront of their houses. One guy had put a trailer in the road to keep a clear space.
I think the LLA or RAF needs to think seriously about policeing the area during LLA day if there is not to be problems in the future. There was some extremely poor parking in places.

Definately worth the 300 mile round trip.
Congratulations to all concerned.
Great to see all the UK PRXIX’s together for the photo shoot. Anyone know what happened to the Rolls Royce one though?. The gear went down for landing and was never seen again.(at least I didn’t).
Roll on next year with the new colours!

On behalf of everyone at BBMF we would like to say thanks to all that turned up today and I think that you witnessed some superb flying today. It turned out to be a glorious afternoon’s flying and I hope that everyone enjoyed the flying and that you will all come back next year. I would like to personally thank everyone who purchased something from our trailer and that they are helping to keep our aircraft flying. I look forward to seeing some of your photos.

Had Sqdn Ldr Clive Rowley over Blyton yesterday,in LF363,at the precise hour of 13.00.
Wonderful flypast, and after he rung me yesterday morning to tell me everything was going ahead,he also told me that it would be his last flight in a Hurricane, and members day was to be his last flight in a Spitfire, before his retirement.
If he happens to read this,or if any of the crew do,could they convey my sincere thanks to him,and also tell him that a lot of the crowd were very impressed, especially after the tipping of the wings.

Sadly won’t be there due to my 2 day commitment at Blyton, and I’m truly gutted. 🙁
So I suppose I’ll have to do with the flypast at 13.00 tomorrow,of one of the Hurricanes instead. 🙂
