I will probably get told off by the forum moderators for this:rolleyes: but-.
I have recently lost my main workshop/storage, so need to find a new home for my Link triner project.
I am looking to exchange it for something smaller that I can keep & work on at home.
The project has been partially restored internally, but needs finnishing off & the outside needs painting etc.
It is missing the wings, tailplane, & most of the instruments, but comes with a lot of spare parts from another Link trainer.
The main project is currently in the Grimsby area, whilst the canopy & spares are near Clacton.
I am looking to exchange it either for suitable parts for my Snipe repro, pre 1940’s aircraft parts, instruments, control fittings, small aeroengine, engine parts, or copies of manufacturing drawings etc for early aircraft etc.
If you might be interested, then please drop me a PM, or email me.

Hi Bob, all
Here’s a shot of ours at Worcester ATC, 1976. I restored it using the best from two wrecks we had, in-between dealing with the Javelin outside. I left in the early 80s and know nothing more than it was gone shortly afterwards. I remember using a GPO uniselector to allow a multitude of signals to be sent to the cockpit, via the limited number of still-working sliprings. The bellows were poor, but we had a tremendous time with it for a short period. The crab trundled off the chart table a few times, I gave it a bungee-based safety harness after it bent its ink-laying wheel!

Just out of curiosity, is this the Link that used to be in the Rebel Air Museum? Only from the point of view that I was interested in what happened to it after we closed.

Hi Steve
I have asked the previous owner if he know’s the Link’s history, unfortunately all he knows is that it was stored for 15 years before he bought it.

Hi Steve
I have no details on the history of this Link trainer, but will email the previous owner to ask him if he knows.

You wouldn’t happen to have a spare canopy or seat back by any chance.
We are restoring a Linkie and are missing these items.
Cheers
Hi Jason
Sorry, but I don’t have spares of either of those parts, only the ones that are needed for the project.
