This year is the 100th anniversary of swedish aviation. The starting point is 1910 when Carl Cederström receives his pilot’s certificate from the Blériot aviation school and also brings a Blériot XI to sweden.
The airshow at the SAAB field at Malmen, Linköping was the first of four display days to celebrate this anniversary. The other three are:
21-22 august Gärdet, Stockholm
28-29 august Säve, Göteborg
5 september Ljungbyhed.

It was a great day, also considering the weather. Superb airshow and rain staying away just until the planes were heading home, as you can see in the shot with Lansen taking off.
Good to see Draken in the air again. C17 and Gripen Demo was also something extra. You also don’t see a pair of spitfires in our neighbourhood too often 🙂
