Hi all,
I have read a while ago that at the former RAF Linton-on-Ouse until the eighties there could still be substantial aircraft wreckage be found. As I understand the “covered waggon” (the section of fuselage fitted over the centre section on YAM’s Halifax reconstruction came from here?
Any confirmation in that?
Cheers

Hi Cees,
RAF Linton-on-Ouse is still very much in existence and is one of the RAF’s busiest training airfields.
Haven’t heard anything before about substantial aircraft wreckage on the base, but that’s not to say there isn’t any. Have you tried contacting them direct?
