I recently got most of my personal aviation library together for the first time.
I find I have several duplications but quite a number of omissions too. The Putnams series cover many of the manufacturers (but no French?) – I have a lot of them and, recently, Crowood are filling some of the gaps. Books on individual aircraft types is where my library is lacking – I haven’t, for example, got a decent, comprehensive book on the Harrier or the Me 262. On this latter there seems to be an abundance of titles and I can’t buy them all.
So I would welcome your valued opinions to make up a list of the BEST available books covering individual aircraft types.

Roger,
For Harrier, may i suggest ‘The Harrier Story’ and ‘Harrier-The Vertical Reality’ (plus the Crowood title to a lesser extent).
As for the Me262, certainly Vol’s 1-4 of the series by Classic Publications, one volume of which i note in the ‘bargain books’ (eg: cheap) section of Midland Counties catalogue.
Cheers…. 😀
