liverpool c47

hello again. i read in flypast a few months ago about a guy who had purchased a c47 with wartime history from the states, and last i heard it was at aces high in north weald, i assume for a maintanence. he was also intending to repaint her in original wartime markings (i’m assuming invasion stripes?). does anyone know if this has been done yet?

thanks in advance 😀

She is indeed away for paint and a bit of a tidy-up. She’ll be back at EGGP in due course – or so I was told last Friday.

Mark, I believe it is currently at Dunsfold undergoing maintenance, if you do a search you will find a thread about it I think, there is another Dakota based there that was part of the same production batch , I believe.
So maybe it will emerge repainted?
Alan.
