LLA and the BBMF

Got the calling through the other day about the AGM for the LLA, and also within the contents was a statement saying that the LLA will no longer be supporting the BBMF.

Then a counter statement from the Guv’nor at BBMF towers came out, which makes for interesting reading:

Such a shame that the LLA have reached this decision, but I would have thought that the members would have had the final say at the AGM, not the committee.

I can see a lot of desertees of the LLA because of this, and think they may have just kicked the box away from underneath themselves. I would have thought that the LLA’s loss will be the BBMF’s gain.

For me personally, I won’t be renewing my LLA membership when it’s due, as I hadn’t been canvassed about the decision made, but I will more than likely join the BBMF club (Subject to the fees.) and give my continued support to the flight.
