Just got back myself too, road works on the A1 at Stamford 😡
Glad you enjoyed your day Quinny.
Had my doubts passing Cranwell, could not see the otherside of the runway there, fog, then rain through Sleaford. But the sun shone at Coniingsby when it needed to though.
Fantastic day, well done to all involved with big thanks to the LLA and BBMF crews for yet another cracking display and hospitality.
Only took one picture as my camera is not good for these things but I am sure over on the photographic section there will hopefully be better quality ones for you to enjoy.

Just got back, and what can I say?
An absolutely teriffic day,as one would expect, even the weather was kind towards the later part of the day.
It seemed rude not to give Anthony ‘Parky’ Parkinson, some friendly grief, after the Spit that he first got aboard, broke down, and he had to transfer to the spare that was servicable.
Went down with some friends, who were in their first year as association members, and one of them won first prize in one of the raffles!!!!! Jammy git.
And for me and my daughter, whose 13th birthday it was today,a big thanks to forum member Stormin, for a day she kept talking about on the way home.I won’t say anymore, suffice to say I guess she’ll be the envy of her friends at school tomorrow.
Sadly,I forgot my camera, but I’m sure some pics from others will follow.

As far as I’m aware Steve, information isn’t available to the public,as it is an event for the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association members only, however the public will see the flying anyhow from outside the perimeter, but are not allowed inside the hangar,or other areas available to members.
I’m not sure of the exact time of flying,I’m sure a member of the flight will let us know nearer the time, (BBMF,Stormin etc.) but I would guess it will be circa 13.00hrs,onwards.
If what I’ve stated is wrong,I’m sure someone will correct me,but I base my answer purely on my experience of previous events.
Here’s looking forward to a cracking day.

Hi guys,
I’ve been looking around for a website or internet flyer or something with details of this event, but can’t seem to find anything.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Steve

LLA Day is looking good for Sun. However just a few things need pointing out. The gates will not be open before 10, and the carpark will not be open before 8:30, therefore I would suggest that early arrival is not a good idea. Please use the car parks that are in use and don’t park on the road, last year’s traffic on Dogdyke Road was a nightmare.
The grassed area will be increased and there will be some tables and chairs, however bring your own chairs if poss.
Flying will be Lanc, Dak and 5 fighters as that is the number of pilots available.
Please enjoy the day and we will see you on Sunday.

Can anyone please confirm if all the flight is serviceable at this moment of time.
I am travelling back from the west country and it would be nice to know if there is a chance of seeing the whole flight up where they belong.
Yes I know that between now and the weekend things could go T**S UP but it would be nice to know!!

Any idea if they’re going to increase the members area out on the grass this because its getting mighty cramped in there in recent years?
Heres hoping for some decent weather again too….

Hopefully I am going too.
Did they send you a form to fill in that is handed to the doorman on arrival?
They have done this in the past but I have not seen one yet, unless that is I have lost it.
