I read all through my autumn 2007 Memorial Flight magazine this afternoon and what a good read this was.
I have two questions regarding the picture below.
Richard Paver is credited with the picture, does anyone know what the photo ship was?
I have ringed what looks like large filler cap, (might be completly wrong), what is it?

Thanks and a happy New Year to you all.
Brian.

Thanks for the replies.
“One of many teddies” how many are normally onboard then Fluffy?
I have seen them in pictures sitting in the rear gunner and bomb aimers positions and thought this was one of the same.
Yes, BigPhil, I like that one and the centre picture too.

The Goldair Aztec is only one of the photoships used. As well as the windows, I believe it has a hatch in the floor faciltating vertical shots downwards. Richard quite often also uses a T6 Harvard for ‘warbird’ photogrpahs.

(Anyway, I prefer the back cover pic 😉 )

Not a filler cap but the Co pilots harness retraint locking mechanism it is attached to the shoulder straps which you can see in the 11 o’clock position of the circle you have drawn. Snoopy is on the other side he is one of many teddies that fly on the Lanc.

It looks like a seat harness inertia reel.
Fluffy?
