Location of airframes

As most will know a certain well known collector of aircraft and engines is now assisting the government in creating mail bags and doing stationary.

But does anyone know where his collection of aircraft etc has gone to ?.

I know he had to give up his farm site near Leeming and the last aircraft there his vampire T 11 I think he ended up scrapping even though we tried to save it.

he also had a site at Chopgate with various items but I have not seen anything for a considerable time on what if anything was left .he did have a number of cockpits and engines and at one stage a large chunk of the Wellington at East Kirby that did not arrive there.

I do know that some stuff was out on loan

Very open to correction but did he not also own a complete Lightning F3 at Tees Side Airport?

While I’m on, what about all the items other than airframes he owns? He has a substantial collection of small airframe parts and related items, some of which deserve saving, someone (BAPC?) should be trying to ensure that nothing important is lost. The Police will have confiscated some items, they need to be viewed and an approach to Ken could be made about anything else, we’d need his permission anyway or it would be trespass and theft or even breaking and entering. He might say push off he might not but if he isn’t asked no one will ever know.

Before anyone mentions putting money where mouth is, I’m in London, said stuff is in Yorkshire and I don’t drive. I would be willing to help if labouring or humping is needed and someone gives me a lift at least a good part of the way.

For those of us who don’t, any clue? If it’s public information, I see no harm in naming names.

WM145 Meteor NF11
WZ557 Vampire T.11

Now both in open store at a farm near Over Dinsdale, Teeside. Neither ever went to Inverness (as was erroneously reported somewhere some time back)

I have a picture somewhere on my PC of these two taken at this location middle of last year.
