Loch Doon recovery

A real wasted opportunity.

I mean no offence to anyone involved, but had this recovery happened today, we would have seen an aircraft restored to flight in a relatively short space of time, using a high percentage of original material.

I saw the fuselage being rebuilt some years ago. It was not to a good standard, and saw a lot of use of pop rivets and commercial material. I understand that they intended to have another go following this but dont knwo what happened. The wings are no longer with the project. I have seen them, and they would have provided a lot of original material to the right restorer.
