How many of you have more than one log in name? The posts about log in names on some threads have been quite amusing, and I thought that I can’t surely be the only one who has more than one name?

I think this particular issue needs to be put to bed now. Comet, the image is removed now and Wysi didn’t mean to offend you.
The rest of it is just hyperbole.

Comet/VLM – The reason I received the support I did was because very few people felt the same way about it as you. Now you are perfectly entitled to feel the way you do and God knows how many times I’ve tried to say I have no problem with that but this is your definition of ‘obscenities’ not everyone elses. While trying to keep within the context of this thread, I too have no problems with multiple user names for the reasons you give so long as they are not used to mislead.

I don’t really understand what the matter is there.
Comet admitted that she had 2 different login and she doesn’t insult anybody as some do.
Let’s give her a break.

What really annoys me is that I get called all sorts purely because I am posting perfectly decent inoffensive things under two names, whilst someone who posts obscenities under one name gets everyone’s support. Surely it is not how many names you happen to have that matters, but what you are posting under those names? Better to be civil with two names than pornographic with one.

I only have the one nickname, that is my choice. However, if someone wants to use more than one, why not? Why is it weird? None of the members who say they have more than one name come across as “weird”. And Arthur, why do you contradict yourself?

A few years ago on another forum, i used ‘God’ for an alter-ego login name. Had a lot of fun with that. Great fun, threatening people with brimstone and floodings and locusts and stuff. Although some people were a bit upset.
Why?
What seemed to begin as a light hearted topic has turned sour. For Chrisssakes, lighten up and GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

No offense.Kev,
My hands go clapclapclapclap. Very well put 🙂
Knowing that several others have also admitted to more than one name, why is it only me that is weird??? Sexism?? And don’t forget, I wasn’t the one who brought this whole thing up last week (Frank!!)

Ha Ha, Arthur. You little Jellyfish. Thought you would getaway with it? Your lack of faith is amusing.
Anyway I like that idea of yours of calling onself God, so I’ve registered it on the forumn.
Anybody wants to use the God sign-on for a day or two, speak to Tempest.
heh heh

I was quite happy with mine until Geforce said he thought it meant I was mentally disabled.
Why would you want two? You can just set the password to whatever you want.

I can see what you mean Kev, but I say again, my log in names are purely a bit of fun, I have no intent to cause bother, and Frank seemed to find it quite amusing, he started this whole thing off in the first place.

VLM Flyer.
If you read what I said on the avatar thread you will notice I was not including you, who is honest about two personas, but others who have in the past used two identities to make accusations, insinuations and threats about and to other forum users. What you are doing is harmless, others may have an altogether more sinister agenda.

Where’s your sense of humour?????
I am not ashamed of being Comet, but I wanted a name that showed my favourite airline off, that is not weird.
Everyone found it quite amusing last week, didn’t they? (Frank?)
Going back to the different names the members of my Yahoo Group use, I can prove it. Go to the thread on Ryanair over on Airliner which 00-WIM posted, and then have a look on my Yahoo Groups messages, you will find an identical post made by someone with a different name (who is NOT me by the way).
I’m not out to make trouble, far from it, but it is a sad state of affairs if no one on this forum can take a harmless bit of fun.
By: frankvw - 29th July 2003 at 12:40
It was very clear Kev, and I agree with you.

Coming more from the computer side of things its far more typical for people to have one handle which they keep and use all over the internet. For example mine came from the name of a character i used to have playing an online game (don’t worry i’ve grown up now). After that it kinda stuck, dunno why i chose it as it doesn’t mean anything.

I don’t understand why anyone would need more than one identity on any forum. You are who you are and calling yourself by a number of different identities won’t change that. Having multiple personas seems wierd. I can only imagine you would want another (secret) identity if you wanted to cause mischief, or if you were ashamed of your original identity. I’m kev35, always have been and always will be. I stand by the comments I make on these fora, unless of course I am proved wrong, and am proud of my identity and do not see the need to hide behind another identity.
Sorry if that got a bit confusing, but I know what I was trying to say.

If you’re talking about this forum, I don’t know, or you might have to get another ID and stop using your old name. If you wanted to change your nickname but keep your number of posts on this forum, then you’d have to ask the Webmaster.

Never changed my password, and it’s a damn easy one (otherwise i’ll forget it myself).

As Kurmitz unique login , same password.
One login is more than enough to manage for me.
By: kurmitz28 - 28th July 2003 at 20:05
Im just me and very unique.
I have the same password for every site I use, emails, forums and stuff. Every 2 – 3 months I change my password just in case, but sometimes it gets a pain in the arse changing it on every site I need it
By: tenthije - 28th July 2003 at 18:41
Started out on the forums as petertenthije but I lost the pass word, so now I am just tenthije!
