‘Ello all,
Last night at about midnight I heard one on Loganair’s Islanders heading off to the North West of Scotland. I could hear it’s engines for about 5 minutes, it must have been battling against a strong head wind.
It got me thinking that those guys are flying around right in the thick of the really bad weather, single pilot operations, in order to supply an Air Ambulance service for other ill/injured people.
The airfields that they operate into are remote and dangerous and the pilots can get a call out at any time 😮
On the flip side they get to see some of Scotland’s nicest scenery when they have the occasional fine weather day 😉
Just thought I’d spare them a thought.
