Having spent many a happy hour doing long exposures in the dark, I thought it time I tried long exposures in daylight with the help of a Tiffen APEX Long Exposure Filter. It does exactly what it says on the tin or plastic box in this case. I decided to take an easy option and walk along side the Thames for some touristy photos as I thought there would be movement in the river and clouds in the sky. It was a still and humid day but a good opportunity to get to grips with using the filter. By the time I reached Tower Bridge, thunder and dark clouds were rolling in from the north-west and the overhanging eaves of City Hall made a good shelter when the rain came down. Having finished my river walk, I was going to go inland to Trafalgar Square/Oxford Circus/Regent Street and make the people disappear but by the time I’d reached Westminster Bridge, the thunder and dark clouds were rolling back in and with a blister on my foot, I called it a day. Photos in the order they were taken.
