The majority of these colour photos are of London during the Blitz, but a couple of aviation/balloon photos included may be of interest.

To be pedantic – a Spitfire with a sky band isn’t a BoB a/c as painted. The band wasn’t promulgated until 27/11/1940. The official end of the BoB was 31/10/40. The actual machine may well have participated in the BoB of course – but not painted like that.
