what are the things on the front wheels of the IB MD80?
Guards to deflect stones thrown up by the wheels (at least I think that’s what they are). I’ve never seen an MD-80 without them fitted.

You’re joking?! I flew Sierra Delta in May last year MAN-LHR… Poor old plane!
Great shots Danny… Yet more photos on this forum from one of my cameras that were not taken by me. 🙂

Great shots Danny – lovely selection you’ve shown us as well 🙂
I believe the BA A320-100s were ordered by BCAL and BA inherited the order when they took over BCAL

Brilliant photos mate. Glad you had a good day. Love the A321 of Turkish airlines and Aeroflot.
Great shots there never knew IB still had MD 80?
Yes, as of October 2006, they still have 18 x MD87 and 12 x MD88. However they are slowly but surely been replaced by the A320 series aircraft.

Absolutely brilliant work Danny, glad you guys got lucky with the weather.
I flew on G-BUSE just a couple of months ago. As previously said, its an earlier -100 version.

Very nice shots there mate. The BA A320 are the older 100 series without the wingtip fences. The newer and more common 200s have them however!
