Hello chaps…long time, hope you are all behaving well. :diablo: Just looking for some urgent info, I have to be in London soon for a month on a project.
I would like to know what are my best options to find accommodation for this short period of time? Also, how to go about in finding one?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Forgot to mention that my brother and I own a family house 10 minutes from Ebbsfleet railway station that offers high speed services in to London. 18 minutes to St Pancras.
My nephew lives in it but we have spare rooms avaialble. If you don’t get sorted in a hotel at a reasonable price email me at atr42@btopenworld.com and I’m sure we can arrange something for you at a reasonable price.
Regards
John

Being a regular user of them I’d also suggest a Travelodge. Worth contacting them to see if they will do a deal for payment upfront for several nights. If you don’t mind being on the edge of London and a short ride in to town they might agree to one of their £19 a night deals, particularly if you don’t want the room serviced every day.
By the way are you looking to arrange a meet up for the forum to say hello to you in person?

Are you ex-forces?, there is the Union Jack Club at which I have stayed in the distant past. Quite cheap if I remember.

beat me to it !! it can be an interesting stay too as there are plenty of charachters there and not only british forces ( the american navy seemed to be in town when i was last there !! ) always good to wind up especialy for my old man remeniscing about fighting with them in durban during ww2 and laughing when the shore patrol dragged them off ,,,,,
also worth a think about is joining ” the youth hostel assosciation !” many good hotels with more than reasonable prices but you need to be a member !!

Hi,
All the major hotel chains are now all over London, so try some of their websites – if your budget is tight, even some of the cheap ones like Premier Inn and Travellodge can be found in the centre these days.
If you are going to be in London for a while, you might want to try some of the ‘Apart-Hotels’ that are starting to appear. As the name would suggest, these are 1/2way between a hotel and an apartment. Not only do you tend to get more room than in a hotel, but you also get your own cooking facilities, which can be invaluable as you may not want to eat out every night.
Citadines have several in London – I have never used them in this country, but have abroad, and much prefer them to a hotel.

To answer your question, no, we are (still) misbehaving.
