London to Paris and back again

A day trip to paris was the reason of travel and to meet some freinds that are traveling round the world who we have not seen for 8 months who happened to be in paris for a few days.

We arrived at heathrow T2 (me and Mrs Caz) at about 06:45 and checked in using one of those self check in machines which was nice and easy to use. Time for Breakfast so we went through security nice and quickly after moi seeting of the metal detectors. ( I forgot to take of my belt :rolleyes: )

Brekfast was a full english and after getting dragged round duty free several times by Mrs Caz it was bording Gate 15 poped up on the screen. We borded nice and easily and welcomed by the (dare i say nice) French Cabin Crewe.

We pushed back from the gate and left quickly and on time , the flight must of only been 3/4 full. Traditional french pastries was served which were very nice actully and by the time we knew it we was in Paris.
Flying into paris there was alot of air france birds (who whould of thought it)

After a short bus journey to the gate we walked striaght through pass port control and off to paris we went.

we got back to cdg at about half 6 , we already had our bording cards which we got when we was at heathrow so all we had to do was go straight through security.

We got off the trrain at the T2 Station and we had to go to the 2f part of the terminal although the walkway to there was shut of by about 15 armed police who none of them spoke english and we spoke little french. So we walked to 2e (assumeing it would be next to 2f) which we was half right although it was actully opposite 2f which we ended up getting the shuttle bus to 2f. Although we did get to see more of the airport which for a big airport seemed empty.

We walked straight through security checks which this time i did not get searched , which led to me shouting yes and punching the air , this did not help matters (only joking) we saw we had a 10 min delay on our flight so again i was dragged round duty free. After that we went and sat by our gate (f-gtaj was next us going to newcastle) and by now our plane was not at the gate and it must of been 19:45 but there was still a 10 min delay. which by now we had the feeling this could be a longer delay then first thought. Although we was then told we was to move to gate F44 was to be bussed out to out plane which happend to be 20 yards away and anouther gate in the same part of the terminal. The plane we got this time was F-GTAM.

(The french parked the plane in the wrong place :rolleyes:)

We borded and left about 20 mins late and after a quick flight across the the channle we was home and landed about at about 0850 gmt. Sandwiches was served by there was no veggie option to mrs caz’s disgust.

The legroom was touchand go on both planes but not to bad for the flight time (but then i am very tall). The serivce we got was very good and i would fly with them again.
