I would be grateful if anyone could advise the registrations of Auster J1/N’s that were owned operated by LTFC and also used by Fairoaks Flying Club.
Any help much appreciated.

G-info confirms IGU with Universal until ’66, but OCR was sold to Jersey late ’59. Both stared out as 5D’s but do not know when converted to Gipsy Majors, certainly were Gipsys when I flew them.

I’ve taken swift glance at my 1964 edition of Civil Aircraft Markings (sorry, I don’t have those for 1960-63) which records G-AJAC (curiously the first Auster in which I flew) as the only J/1N then registered to L.T. (Central Road Services) Sports Association (Tiger Moths G-AIIZ and G-ANDV also were then registered to the Association). By 1964 G-AIGU was registered to Universal Flying Services Ltd. and G-AOCR to British United (C.I.) Airways Ltd..

Not sure of ownership, but I flew ‘IGU & ‘OCR in ’59/60 at Fairoaks through their flying club..
