Look what delta can do!

Well, out of curiousity, i wanna know if anyone can beat these travel stories:
1. 2 years ago, route-jax-atl…well it seemed like a normal 1 hour hop to atlanta…but when the 767 pilot said, “left engine problem” it was all downhill from there, since there were 50 of us all together, they couldn’t rebook 50 people on deltas almost hourly service to atlanta, and by the time they had the plane fixed, it was damn near 6 pm..and we were supposed to be in at 11sih…it was suppossed to be a plane just for us 50 and a few other people still stuck in jax from the 10 am, but the flight next to us to altanta natrually had tire problems, and then it wasn’t ‘our’ plane anymore! they gave almost evey seat to the other delayed passendgers-! we finally arrived about 6 hours late- we could’ve driven to atl!

2.route- jax-vail eagle, colorado- a prettty routine flight, we were gong to stop in atl and then on to vail- we hit really really bad turbualence over colorado, and apparently it is blizzarding below us, we end up on the other side of the state, but they provided van service to the resorts, in the blizzard and all, we arrived 8 hours late!

I’d like to know what stories you can top these with!

RE: Look what delta can do!

I can’t top either of them but my worst experiences have been with Airtours.
EMA-ACE: The plane laded very late already and we where ready to go, then we get told they need to change a tyre, an eventual 6 hr delay followed
ACE-EMA (The return flight): Took off relatively on time, but had to make a fuel stop in Nantes, France! The captain said that the runway in Lanzarote wasn’t long enough for our MD-83 to take a full load of fuel and as we had strong headwinds we had to stop.

Beleive it or not we decided to give them another go Manchester-Malta.
We were constantly told that it would be 3/4 hour delay, but apparently the plane was still stuck in Cyprus 2 hours into this with some sort of problem. After our party made a few complaints and stated that we wouldn’t be too pleased with flying on one of the Air Atlanta Tristars, we were taxiied to a local hotel for a free meal, just the 7 of us.
We eventually flew out 11 hours later on Britannia (on time), 3 hours ahead of everybody else we found out later.
The return flight was on time 😮 , but the TV’s were broke.

RE: Look what delta can do!

Hmm.. This one can’t top it at ALL but I though I might as well mention it:

Coming home from a 5 month study stay in Australia, I found myself at Frankfurt/Mainz, after flying Sydney-Seoul, waiting 6 hours in Kimpo (very boring if you ask me), and then flying a daylight flight to Frankfurt.

The problem was: I had originally been shceduled to fly to Zurich the next day, so I was stranded in Frankfurt on the lookout for Korean Airs check-in counter. Anyway, after entering & leaving Germany 3 or 4 times (no kidding!) I finally found it, and while they were sorting it out,I could see how the plane with all my friends on it, taxiing from the stand to the runway and taking off. I was |–| this close to break down, ‘coz all I just wanted was to go home & sleep! Mind you, this was after nearly 30 hours without sleep, as I find it quite difficult to sleep on airplanes.
