My father is touring England from down under and he wants to visit Duxford after I talked to him about my visit in 2001.
He’s in the area from August 30th to September 2nd, and as I’ve gathered from here there are some regular visitors I said I’d ask if there was anyone interested in giving a bit of history on the site and the exhibitions as they amble about.
Words of warning, he is 70, of sound mind and body but gets distracted easily, so you could be there awhile:p as he pokes his nose into every nook and cranny (he’s a farmer with an engineers mind, if you’ve seen The worlds fastest Indian then think Burt Munro 🙂 )
He even comes with his one links to aviation as a loader driver for an aerial topdressor (fixed wing and fling wing) and a son who was in aviation for 15 years.
If you’re game let me know and I’ll work out how to put you in touch.
Thanks in advance
Rick

Equally I’d be happy to accompany him.
Drop me a PM if it helps.
